Curiosity and commitment is a start of something wondrous experience. For a very long time, I wanted to travel on my own and last year I was given an amazing opportunity.

Türkiye (Turkey) is the country rich of history and a place that lies partly in Asia and partly in Europe. I would say you could enjoy two places at once. Thanks to Turkish hottie Can Yaman as I am more encouraged to see his country after watching Erkenci Kus. The tv series has nothing to do with its rich history, it’s just that I was hoping to see him when I get there but not fortunate enough to explore more places.

In a span of 10 days, I was able to visit four cities in Turkey namely Antalya, Izmir, Cappadocia and Istanbul. I chose these cities as I wanted to see ocean, mountains, heritage site, landscape and city. I spent two nights in each city and wander through the streets if I have time. I had to fly from city to city as I had limited time for my holidays. If I had enough time, I would like to take public transportation and learn how locals use them.

Antalya is known for its coast with blue waters and it used to be a Roman port. I wanted to go for swimming but didn’t have courage as it’s winter time.

Izmir houses heritage and archaeological sites from Roman to Ottoman Empire. I was able to visit Ephesus where Library of Celsius could be found and the house of Mother Mary. I am not the type of person who loves history but the experience was a fascinating one. You would like to know more. I wish I was able to find a good guide explaining Ephesus but budget is bit constraint.

Flying to Cappadocia had been my most awaited experience. I was intrigued by landscapes, cave like experience as well as the hot air balloon experience. It was a pity the weather was not great so my balloon ride need to be cancelled.

Of course, I didn‘t let the opportunity to walk around the streets of Istanbul passed. This is the place I will be happy to visit again. It felt like I was not able to see everything Istanbul can offer. From the Cistern to Hagia Sophia and from shopping to night life.

I would definitely recommend to visit the country. It’s fun watching THE PROTECTOR from Netflix seeing the places I’ve once been. I promised myself that my curiosity will not remain as it is but I will commit on knowing the wonders of these world!
